Welcome to Sharaqpur Sharif, a Tehsil level Town of Sheikhupura District in the Punjab Province of Pakistan well known by its
shrines and tombs of sufis and saints, specially known by famous saint Hazrat Mian Sher Muhammad (Shere Rabbani). A flourishing and
lush green town famous for its vegitables, fruits, flowers, greeneries. Situated on Jaranwala-Faislabad road 32 km away from
Lahore. Sharaqpur is situated on globe by Degree decimal (Latitude 31.4657877N and Longitude 74.1004658E). The total area of Sharaqpur
Sharif is (4 SqKm) which is (Length: 2.5 km / 1.5 miles) and (Width: 1.6 km / 1.0 miles).
The foundation of this Town was lay down at the end era of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan (Born Jan-1592, Death 22-Jan-1666 CE).
In 1904 CE Sharaqpur was the Tehsil of Lahore District. In 1911-12 CE Sharaqpur was under District Gujjaranwala. Then it became the sub-Tehsil and now Tehsil of District Sheikhupura.
During the freedom movement of Pakistan the young men of Sharaqpur showed a courageous and momentum role. Sharaqpur has this distinguish award that, during civil disobedient movement against the British govt. the first squad which was captured, were brave young men of Sharaqpur.
